Hiking Group Description
Join us for a local Hike Like a Woman hike! The group is led by Jacquelyn O'Connor. Hike Like A Woman is a community by and for outdoor women where our goal is to connect women with one another and with a trail. Your leader is a member of the HLAW Ambassador team and she is the only person in this group who is authorized to lead an official hike for this group.
We hike at all paces and on all terrain, your local leader will give you more detailed information before each hike. To learn more about how to prepare yourself for a HLAW hike please read below:
A few group guidelines (PLEASE READ):
All official group hikes will be posted as events so group leaders can plan appropriately.
The HLAW community is all about kindness, it’s what sets us apart from the others. Please only kindness here, we can disagree but do so kindly. We reserve the right to remove anyone who wrecks our hiking zen with meanness.
We can’t wait to see you on a hike!

Hike Like a Woman is happy to help connect people who want to hike with volunteers who want to lead local hikes. But is it important to remember a few things. The outdoors is dangerous and unpredictable, and conditions on the ground, including the location and safety of trails, change constantly. You agree that you have all the necessary skills and capabilities to venture into the outdoors and independently assess all dangers.
Photos will be taken during group hikes for social media and websites. If you do not want your photo shared on social media or websites please a inform your group leader.
Our hiking group leaders are volunteers, not professional guides. They are happy to offer what knowledge and experience they have. But it is up to you to be prepared with appropriate clothing, food, water, and any equipment you might want or need.
If you have a medical condition that could impact hiking, please consult your doctor prior to joining a group hike. You agree that you will defend, indemnify and hold harmless Hike Like A Woman & Just Trails LLC and it’s employees and volunteers from and against all claims and causes of action of any kind, including those sounding in tort or in contract, or based upon any law or statute.
