Pool at East Hill Farm

I love the winter, I love everything about it, the cold, the snow, being able to get out and enjoy the beauty while cross country skiing, snowshoeing or hiking, but sometimes we need something different to do.  One winter day, I was looking for something different for my family and I do. I came across The Inn at East Hill Farm.  They have an indoor pool that is open to the public for $5 a person.  This is a working farm that hosts an array of activities for people looking to experience the farm life.  Check out their website for all of their activities and overnights.  We have never been to the farm before, but I follow them on social media and love the pictures they post.  The day we visited it was foggy and not much of a view, but I believe they do have a view of Mt. Monadnock. At check-in you do need to sign a waiver and you are provided with a key to the pool area. As you walk through the Inn to get to the pool you got through a couple sittings rooms and the dinner room.  The pool is located in the basement of the Inn, there is also another sitting room and ping pong tables.  The pool is small in depth, about four feet deep, but my seven year old had a blast jumping and swimming around and I was able to get a few laps in.  The warmth was alright, my daughter didn't notice, but at first my husband and I were a little chilly.

For a relaxing treat there is a sauna and a hot tub located in another room.  There was only one other group of people there so we were able to use both at our leisure.  We spent about two hours in the pool, hot tub and sauna.  It was getting dark as we were leaving, but were able to enjoy some of the farm animals such as the donkeys that greet you as soon as you walk by, horses and cows.

If you live in the Monadnock area and are looking for after afternoon of fun without the drive and high cost, I highly recommend checking it out. We will absolutely be returning. There are certain open hours to the public so please check their website or call for more details before going.

2/7/19: Update per their website they are no longer allowing locals access to their pools, it is for guests only. I think it would still be fun to stay here.
