We have not spent much time exploring the South Shore of Boston. On the first nice day of the spring season we decided to do a little exploring. I did not have an itinerary, just winged it. Our first stop was Hull Massachusetts, which is a small costal town with views of Boston. It was such a cute area.
After driving around Hull we went to Nantasket Beach and walked the beach. There was a lot in this area, a carousel, playground, several shops and restaurants. We walked a mile and a half one way on the beach and did not walk the whole beach. I was shocked at how calm the waters were.
After walking the beach we drove to towards Scituate. The drive along the ocean was beautiful with many amazing homes.
We stopped Scituate Lighthouse, which was so cute and had some fun rock piers to explore.
We drove through Scituate Harbor which had a cute downtown area with shopping and restaurants. You could also see the boats in the harbor.
From here we started our drive home. We stopped in Brockton for some food. We found a great brewery, Brockton Brewery located in the downtown area. This fun brewery had a Vietnamese flare. They had refreshing beers and sodas. The food was fresh, flavorful and delicious. The staff was friendly and prompt.
We enjoyed our time exploring the South Shore, there seem to be a lot of great beaches and small towns to wander around. We will definitely be coming back to explore more of this area. If you have a favorite spot on the South Shore I would love to hear about it.
