I pride myself of knowing where the good waterfalls are. Out of everything outdoors my favorite adventure is to any type of waterfall. The ones you can take a dip under are the best, well not during the winter, as pictured in the photo below. One Sunday morning I was scrolling the internet trying to figure out what to do with my family. While exploring hiking sites I stumbled across a waterfall that I had never head of. Tucker Brook Falls. I was on a mission to find this waterfall. The waterfall is located in Tucker Brook Town Forrest in Milford, NH. The trail head is located on Savage Road. There are maps throughout the trail, but since I was not exactly sure where I was going, we ended up doing a mile loop before hitting the falls. The falls is located on the Falls Loop, as we walked beside a beautiful ice covered stream with smalls cascades. As we were walking along the stream I was worried that I had missed the falls, as the stream was becoming more narrow, but all of a sudden we could hear the rush of water and to our surprise a magnificent waterfall. For this being in Milford, I was quite impressed by it's size. We sat on a log for about 15 minutes enjoying the falls as our Golden Retriever swam happily in the frigid water. I could have sat there all day. My seven year old had other ideas though. Little did we know were were only about five minutes from our vehicle once returning to the trail. If you are looking to get away and enjoy a little peace and quiet in front of a waterfall without having to drive to The White Mountains, I highly recommend this little waterfall wonder in Milford.
