Fuller Gardens

It was finally a nice Sunday after many weekends of rain, so we decided to take a drive towards the seacoast of New Hampshire.

First stop was lunch in Exeter. If you have not visited Exeter, make sure you do as it has such a cute downtown. We had lunch at Street, an eclectic restaurant that adds a world wide flair to their menu. My husband had a Cemita, a chicken sandwich with Mexican flair, my daughter a burger and myself a falafel wrap. The star of the meal was the specialty fries. My husband and I shared the Subarashii fries, which had an Asian flair, they were so good. It was a fun atmosphere with friendly and prompt staff.

Next stop was Fuller Gardens. Located off Route 1A on Willow Ave in North Hampton, New Hampshire is small, but beautiful gardens. I am not sure how I have driven Route 1A so many times and did not know Fuller Garden was here. With it being June 1st, there was not a lot in bloom, but still worth the visit. There is a small fee to enter. There is a larger rose garden with many different types of roses, only a couple of them were in bloom. In a few weeks this garden should be amazing. There was even a bunny hopping around.

There were water features throughout the gardens.

There is a conservatory that had a lot of cactus and warm weather plants. This is also where the Koi Fish were until it gets warm enough to be moved outside to the Japanese Gardens.

Next we explored the Japanese garden.

Then onto the Front Garden that also had a lot of rose bushes and other plants.

We spent about an hour walking around the different gardens. In a few weeks many of the plants should be in bloom, which I am sure the gardens will be spectacular.

After exploring Fuller Gardens we stopped at Hampton Beach for a walk along the beach before heading home.

Overall, a great afternoon of delicious food, a beautiful garden to explore and a nice walk on the beach.
