I am in love. I do not usually say this about an item, but I am. A few weeks ago Woolx reached out to me about sharing their summer sale. I looked through my Woolx items and thought, I only have winter items, I can’t share those. I love my leggings, gloves and sweatshirt, but did not feel they were appropriate to share for a summer sale. Also when I think Woolx I think wool for cold weather. I looked through their website and saw an array of summer workout items. As someone who is new to running, I am always looking for running clothes that will work for me. Woolx agreed to send me a couple items. I selected the following to try.
Dani Bike Shorts: When I received these shorts they were a little longer than I expected and the material felt like wool. With the hot days we have been having this summer, I was concerned the material was going to be too hot to wear (I was wrong!). I did love that the shorts felt light weight and had pockets.
Livi Bra: This crisscross sports bra had the same material as the Dani Bike Shorts. They felt thin and did not have adjustable straps. I wear a size D bra so I was a little worried that without adjustable straps it was not going to be supportive enough.
It was a warm July afternoon and I set out on my run. I was instantly pleased with how comfortable the set was. The bra was very supportive and held me in place with limited bouncing. The shorts stayed in place and prevented any chaffing from my thigh rubbing together, which was amazing. It is hard to find running shorts that do not rise up during a run and prevent chaffing. These bike shorts stayed in place for my three mile run.
Though it was hot, the merino wool bike shorts and bra were moisture wicking even with the amount of sweat I was producing. The padding in the bra stayed in place. At the end of the run my clothes did not feel too wet. Despite the sweat, I did not struggle to get the shorts and bra off after my run.
I am so in love with these Dani Bike Shorts and Livi Bra. I have now worn them on two runs and a walk. They are light weight, comfortable, supportive, moisture wicking and actually stay in place. They claim to be odor resistant and I can confirm that after three sweaty workouts they do not have an odor to them. They are on the pricier side, each item being around $100, but with the quality of these items I feel it is worth a little splurge on yourself. As a new runner it can be hard to find clothes that fit my body and are supportive. These Woolx items cover all these areas and I highly recommend these to other active women.
