Camp Plymouth State Park

Over the summer we went to the cutest state park in Vermont. Camp Plymouth State Park is located on Echo Lake just north of Ludlow. It's a little under 2 hours from the Monadnock Region/Southern New Hampshire so a great day trip destination if you live in New Hampshire, Massachusetts or Vermont.

The park is mostly grass with a small sand beach, clean swimming area, large picnic area with tables and BBQ grills, a new playground, volleyball court, canoe, kayak and paddleboard rentals, clean facilities and a snack bar.

This was a great place to use our Mr. Big Blanket from Wildish.

The one down fall is the paddle board rentals are very popular I tried twice to rent one, but there were none available. I am not sure if you can rent them ahead, but if this is something you want to do while there, make sure you arrive early.

We enjoyed spending the day between the lake and the playground.

We brought out own picnic lunch thanks to our wonderful Yehi Rambler . This cooler has made day trips so much easier. There is also a small snack bar if you are looking for a beach snack. There is plenty of grass space to spread out.

Camp Plymouth is a perfect day trip for a family outing, a large gathering of family or friends or just a day at the lake by yourself.
